Figge Art Museum - 225 W. Second St., Davenport, IA 52801

Just down the street from Davenport homes for sale, the majestic glass building housing the Figge Art Museum is visually stunning in its own right. In 1925, one-time Davenport mayor Charles A. Ficke laid the groundwork by donating 334 works from his collection. Today, the museum's permanent holdings have grown to include numerous works from American regionalists and Haitian artists. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon - 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $8-$14.

Beréskin Gallery - 3954 Parkdale Drive, Bettendorf, IA 52722

Beréskin Gallery is a virtual and real-time resource for art lovers around Bettendorf homes for sale. Shop their online gallery or take one of their great classes held at the Figge Art Museum. Owner Cassie Garrity Dunlavey, whose extensive background in art includes teaching at all levels, displays her mixed media and ceramics work inside the gallery. Individual and group classes, workshops, and parties focus on pottery, painting, and drawing. Founded in 1874, the Dubuque Museum of Art holds the distinction of being the oldest cultural institution in the state. The museum fulfills their mission of "creating art experiences that excite, inspire, and connect" the community near Dubuque homes for sale through permanent collections, traveling exhibits, family programs, and adult education. DuMA is open 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 1 - 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6-$9.

Stanley Museum of Art - University of Iowa, 160 W. Burlington St., Iowa City, IA 52242

Gilded Pear Gallery - 808 Third Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403

Muscatine Art Center - 1314 Mulberry Ave., Muscatine, IA 52761
Founded in 1965, the Muscatine Art Center blends cultural attractions with local history. The museum is located in the stately Musser Mansion, a 1908 home listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Displays include both art exhibits and artifacts associated with the home that shed light on days past around Muscatine homes for sale. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, and 1 - 5 p.m. weekends. Admission is free for all guests.

Art Center of Burlington - 301 Jefferson St., Burlington, IA 52601
The actual gallery space of the Art Center of Burlington forms only part of their mission to "awaken the creative nature that is in every person." Public installations such as the 3rd Street Mural Project and the Mayfly Mayhem Project brighten the streets near Burlington homes for sale. Their onsite Artists Market allows visitors to shop for artisan-made goods that express their own individuality. ACB is open 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday with free admission.
