January Small Businesses of the Month
Small businesses are the heart of our communities! Here at Ruhl&Ruhl, we love to support locals and engage with the areas we serve in any way we can. So, let's help them out and spread the word about their great services!
Below are this month's featured businesses in all of our areas:
Bettendorf/Davenport/Moline: Vibrant Coffee House + Kitchen in Bettendorf provides a place where people can go and enjoy freshly brewed coffee and delicious food, and feel right at home! Other items on their menu include lotus energy drinks, ice cream, specialty lattes, soups, and much more, but it doesn't stop there; you'll have to stop by and see for yourself! Burlington: The Art Center of Burlington is a one-of-a-kind art center that has been around for almost 60 years! With monthly gallery displays and an Artists Market, they showcase the work of local and regional artists. The Art Center is the place to go if you or your child wish to take art classes. They also have a gallery lounge that offers a fine selection of wine and beer as well as live entertainment on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. Cedar Rapids: Scribe Stationer, located in a little historic firehouse, is a gift boutique that sells all things stationary and desktop! Whether you need stylish pens, the simplicity of a good pencil, fun stickers, or even a sketch pad and journal, Scribe Stationer has the hook up. They have all the accessories you can think of, along with candles, jewelry, and even the perfect desktop mugs. Make sure to stop by the next time you're in the Cedar Rapids area!
Clinton/DeWitt: The Sawmill Museum, once known as the "Lumber Capital of the World," tells the story of how lumber was processed from a living tree to a finished product, which was then used locally for commercial and residential purposes. Their mission is to preserve, collect, interpret, and explore the history of America's sawmill, lumber, and forestry industries. Some of their exhibits include Struve Mill equipment, a vintage circular sawmill, a floating log raft simulator/video game, a Ford Model T, and much more! Dubuque: Charlotte's Coffee House provides an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy an acai bowl, chai latte, protein smoothie, or a hot cup of green tea! It doesn't stop there though. They have a variety of food items that include bagels, paninis, breakfast burritos, and salads, and they even have a seasonal menu for specialty items. Stop by Charlotte's next time you need a recharge or a study break!
Iowa City: Bread Garden Market is everything from a full-service grocery store, coffee bar, and deli to a chef-inspired breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant. They surely have something for everyone! If you're looking for a place to cater your next big event, consider Bread Garden Market and all they have to offer. Muscatine: Mamma Mia Restaurante is one of the most popular pizza places that Muscatine has to offer! Here, they don't have just pizza, you can also find pasta, sandwiches, and other side dishes.
